Project Description

The team was charged with designing a modular, flexible and functional space that adheres to the company’s office standards. A primary design goal was establishment of common areas for formal and informal gatherings. The team addressed this by offering a large open area adjacent to the elevator lobby. This centrally located space can be arranged in a cafeteria style configuration or as a training room with enclosed movable partitions. Also imperative to the design aesthetic was to connect the reception and gathering areas through the elevator lobby. This was accomplished by utilizing the same extensively figured wood element throughout the space. The break room is visually connected via wood ceilings to the central staircase on the opposite side providing a magnificent view of the skyline. Team rooms of varying sizes were incorporated into the corners of the building and in between offices offering better conference room accessibility and more effective team collaboration. The design incorporates and highlights the firm’s impressive art collection located at visual perspective points, illuminated with accent lighting. Office furniture represents the personnel’s ergonomic use of available space in a contemporary style utilizing light wood and back-painted glass.
