Valliance Bank
McKinney, Texas

Project Description

Valliance Bank recently opened their first office in Texas with the goal of providing top notch concierge banking service to its customers in thriving McKinney, Texas. The concept of Valliance’s charter Texas branch responds to the client’s request for a transparent solution that provides modern luxury service along with convenience.  For a bank that provides funding for the construction and development industries, it was a key consideration in the design to provide a transparent contemporary solution depicting the stability of the bank.

The unique architecture of the building provides some visual interest in the interior design of the space.  An open lobby design allows natural light to flood the interior as well as provide unbroken visibility throughout the space. Support areas are centrally located to meet essential security and privacy requirements. Customers are greeted by private bankers seated at custom veneered workstations designed for functionality and visibility. The travertine flooring of the building lobby extends into the bank and transitions to carpet in the office area. A fully functioning nine foot in diameter, early twentieth century barrel vault is set in a limestone wall at the lobby as a statement of the bank’s permanence. The board room utilized the acute angle of the building to provide a dramatic meeting environment with exterior providing a canvas to the McKinney landscape.

The project team accomplished high end design solutions for Valliance Bank, while being careful stewards of the client’s budget.  This project was about making a positive, modern, yet lasting impression.  Judging from employee and customer reactions, Valliance Bank in McKinney was a rousing success.
