Student Conference
The IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter’s Student Conference brings together students, professionals, educators, and manufacturers’ representatives for two days of academic and professional enrichment. The conference will host 150 students from universities and interior design programs across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Conference events include tours throughout Houston, small group presentations, a keynote speaker luncheon, and an industry table top event featuring companies from across the region. In addition, forty talented students will be selected by their professors to participate in a design charrette competition.

METROCON
METROCON is a resourceful alliance: a tradeshow and convention organized through landmark volunteer collaboration between the Texas Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and the Texas / Oklahoma Chapter of IIDA (International Interior Design Association). In a determined effort to strengthen the design community, these two organizations have joined forces and pooled resources to offer the best in exhibitors and continuing education to their members and beyond. METROCON focuses on introducing the latest in products and innovative ideas to the Southwest regionís community of interior designers, architects, design students and other essential industry members.

Chapter Awards Gala
At the annual IIDA TX OK Chapter Awards Gala, awards are given in seven categories: Corporate, Healthcare, Hospitality, Institutional/Educational, Retail, Government and Sustainability. Also presented are awards for the Chapter Volunteers of the Year, City Center Volunteers of the Year, City Center Underwriters of the Year, Chapter Sponsor of the Year and the highly coveted Pinnacle Award. The Pinnacle Award is the highest honor IIDA can bestow upon a design firm. The award is granted only to firms that have consistently contributed to the highest aspiration of the profession, community and the IIDA while remaining committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in Interior Design.

Leaders Breakfast
The Leaders Breakfast program serves to bridge the gap between the design industry and the business leaders in the region. You will have the opportunity to mingle with design leaders and business innovators, and join in honoring leaders within the community. In addition to Dallas, breakfast programs will be held in New York, Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto.
