The College of Visual Arts and Design at The University of North Texas (UNT) is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position as a Lecturer in Interior Design.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include interior design studios and the span of the interior design curriculum. The college’s standard teaching workload for lecturer faculty is eight courses per academic year. Additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate students, service to the program, college, university, and the profession, professional development, and continued enhancement of the design department.
The University of North Texas (UNT) ’s Department of Design is dedicated to fostering the success of its diverse population of faculty and students. It offers a B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Design.
- Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in Interior Design or related area with three years or more of interior design industry experience.
Evidence of university-level teaching experience.Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach all levels (upper-division and lower-division) of undergraduate courses.
Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud software for digital product visualizations and presentations.
Proficient in interior design illustration techniques, including digital technologies such as Revit and its 3D visualization add-ons, and SketchUp.- Job Type
