Who We Are Looking For: Populous is seeking a passionate, creative, engaged, and technically proficient Sr. Interior Designer to join us in a dynamic and collaborative design atmosphere. Applicants must possess exceptional design and technical abilities. Our preferred candidate will have polished skills in written and verbal communications and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. The best candidate will be self-motivated and directed, and eager to learn within a fun, collaborative atmosphere.
Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities.

What Your Day Could Consist Of:
Ability to work in a dynamic, creative environment, contributing to design and documentation across all aspects of the interiors process using a variety of media formats.
Strong hospitality design experience required.
Creative design thinking with expertise in spatial and environmental design, branding development, story creation, and graphic design sensibility.
Possess strong conceptual design, organizational, presentation, and technical skills.
Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Confident and comfortable interacting with clients, leading presentations, meetings, and collaborative sessions.
Proven ability to quickly earn trust, build partnerships, and lead large consultant teams effectively.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
Open to both giving and receiving direction as part of a collaborative team.
A deep passion for design and innovation.
Exceptional visual, written, and spoken communication skills to express concepts in a compelling and engaging manner.
Highly detail-oriented and able to perform effectively in demanding environments.
Strong sketching and freehand drawing skills, with the ability to produce quick, effective sketches to convey and sell ideas.

Requirements For Success:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, creative writing, proofreading, and editing.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver successful results within deadlines.
Positive attitude, resourceful nature, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Essential Qualifications:
Professional Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
12+ years of relevant experience.
NCIDQ certification is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Rendering experience, computer and freehand.

Additional details:
Travel will be required.
Overtime may be necessary.
